Is your money in tidy compartments? One for notes and a section for coins and cards? I watched someone open a wallet the other day – it was such a mess – there was “screwed” up notes, credit cards and coins all in the same area. As they rummaged around a ten pound note fell to the floor, they didn’t notice and I waited and didn’t say anything.
After they paid for their purchase and proceeded to add the receipt in to the monetary chaos, they turned to walk away. I tapped them on the shoulder and pointed out the money on the floor – they looked confused. I bet they work in banking or have lots of debt.
I just feel that how you do one thing is how you do everything … if you manage your money in your wallet then I believe you are more likely to manage all your finances.
Would anyone like to debate this? Have you got a messy wallet but a very organised banking system with finances and investments all in place? Would anyone like to admit to a messy wallet and a mess of a financial life?
