When I saw the email inviting us to Parmdeep and Hanif’s Murder Mystery – Property networking event, I couldn’t wait to reply. Bob and I have stumbled across this sort of dinner time entertainment before – always a giggle and feeds my combination competitive – cum – detective streak in one hit. We just spent the weekend in wonderful Strafford- upon-Avon …
I recognised the name of the hotel as one that takes Tesco clubcard vouchers, so rang on the off chance that I could extend our booking. Luck was on my side and I managed to secure a long weekend for just an extra £80 in vouchers 🙂 That was it Bob and I were off to explore, discover, recover. Arriving Friday afternoon I immediately started with a massage to relax, then dinner in town. By the time the rest of the Mastermind Group arrived on Saturday we had already explored parts of Strafford on Avon and we were ready to discover Who Dunnit.
Saturday evening was a great combination of networking and acting 🙂 and by the end of the main course one of our party had already been brutally murdered by Parmdeep’s beautiful and very unsuspicious wife, in her role as a dodgy police woman – not real life you understand 🙂
Sunday was a much more relaxed day, no-one died for a start! The sun came out and it was time to explore Strafford town centre again. Off we set in a giant mass of property investors, visiting churches, Shakespeare’s birth place, garden and finally settling by the canal where we could enjoy the sun and chat some more.
As everyone started to head back home – some towards London – others towards the north, Bob and I settled into the recover part of our break. I had the most amazing facial – I haven’t had one before and Bob had a relaxing back massage. This is definitely the life style. This is why I invest in property – the freedom to do as I choose, the opportunity to meet great people, the income to take the occasional weekend break and rejuvenate my mind, body and spirit. Oh and of course we chatted to Estate Agents and viewed a few houses along the way – well we could hardly resist could we ?
Explore, discover and recover – definitely recommended 🙂
